This digital audio tour takes you on a journey back in time to the cradle of industry. Across 12 stops, you’ll get a glimpse into the lives of the factory owner and the workers at the textile mill between 1880 and 1910. Their lives were very different, yet inextricably intertwined.

If you follow the audio tour’s 12 stops, you’ll pass the Main Building, the Workers’ Housing, the Foremen’s Housing, the Grocery Shop, the School, the Asylum, the Factory Gate, the Dining Hall, the Nursery, Modeweg’s Obelisk, the Nazareth House, and the Watermill. Through original audio recordings featuring former workers, you’ll even get to hear stories from fascinating firsthand accounts.
